God's Compensation/You need a break
“Sorry, this is a little too much to take in at once,” you comment.
“You need a break?” Mr. Austin asks, to witch you affirm by casting him a weak smile. “That might be a good idea,” he says. “How about we get out of here and get some fresh air?” Upon saying this, he helps you up by the arm and takes you out the back door to the room. Wait, the back door? You didn't actually notice the room had a back door before.
“Sorry,” Mr. Austin says as soon as the two of you are outside, “I said we would take a break, but I figured going that route would be faster. That was a short-cut across the fourth dimension. That door was there in that room all along, but you couldn't see it before because it was not on your 3 dimensional plane. We took a slight step off of your 3-D plane in order to gain access to that door.”
Well, great. It actually does sound like a pretty convenient power to have, if you could understand it a bit better. However, actually seeing it in action rather than having it all talked to you has you a bit interested. You still think you are a bit overloaded for “lessons,” but just seeing it used casually has you looking forward to learning more later.
