If you haven’t read The Fragmented Soul or talked to the Guardian Statue, you should choose at least one of those options first.

You decide that another conversation with Emily is long overdue, and this time make your way to a full length mirror in Sofia’s bedroom. The mirror is grand and ornate, allowing you and the girl to see each other more fully.

Your mother’s old mirror seems oddly out place

“Look at me girl,” you say to your reflection, “I know I wear your face, but you know who I am and what I want, as well as what I am capable of. There is something else I want you to see though.”

You look at yourself in the mirror for a moment longer, you eyes flicking between your confidence and gloating, and your fear and trepidation, as you hesitate to make eye contact with yourself, before forcing yourself to do so.

“There are two of us in here Emily,” you continue, “but we share one vessel, body and mind, and that means sometimes it’s not clear who is in charge. I wish to disillusion you of this notion.”

You point your wand at your body and incant:

Finite Incantatem Obscura Anima… Revelio Anima… Revelio Animus,

You cast the three spells in quick succession, removing your obfuscation, then revealing your own soul, and that of Emily, to both of you. In the mirror, your souls are laid bare.

Emily’s Soul

Emily’s soul is a beautiful tapestry, woven of fine golden strands of quintessence. The strands flow and weave themselves further still, and will always do so as her heart beats and she continues to breathe.

Your soul is incomplete, a parasite growing in Emily’s heart

Your own soul looks very different. It has golden strands, but many more that are black and barbed, as Entropy has overwhelmed the Quintessence. It is perhaps half the size of Emily’s soul, and seems joined to hers somehow. Black barbs from your own soul flow into Emily’s, but there are also many golden strands from her soul that are flowing into yours. After just a few days it is as though they are two creeping vines that are growing around one another.

There are several things you want to do over the next few days, before you do to Hogwarts:

There are also some things that you know Emily wants to do. You decide it might be best to allow her some of the things she desires, so that she will better cooperate with you:

Once you have done enough of these things, it will be time to leave Lestrange manor:
