Talk:Life Hacks/Notes on Chris' personality
Chris is a psychiatrist, not a psychologist. There is a huge difference, the most obvious being that a psychiatrist is a medical doctor and a psychologist is not a doctor at all and cannot prescribe medication. I would personally never go to a psychologist for anything, ever. I do trust psychiatry though. --Elerneron (talk) 12:17, 3 November 2016 (CET)
Well, that really depends on whether you have a medical or psychological problem. For instance, Psychiatrists are better at treating Schizophrenia and clinical depression, where as psychologists are better at treating phobias or performing something the likes of marriage counselling. They each have their own specialties, although psychiatrists do have more training having the same base level training (before continuing education) that a psychologist does plus medical training on top of it. At any rate, that's neither here nor there in regards to the story. Chris' profession is noted. (Probably makes better sense that way too. If he was a psychologist he might actually be a bit more in to his children's life just due to his profession allowing him to gain slightly more insight to a (structurally and chemically) normal healthy mind.)
