"James," you start to say before stopping for a minute to find the right words. "What your feeling is called a crush. It means you find me attractive and that you want to spend more time with me not just in class but outside of class in a less professional manner." Though he does not fully understand everything you said he does seem to get the most of it especially the attractive part which causes him to blush.
"Do you find me attractive sir?" He asks with his face red as a tomato.
"Well I would be lying if I said I didn't find you cute." You reply with a small smile.
"Would you like to spend time with me outside of school?"
"Yes I would. Maybe after school today you stay late we hang out for a little while and then I will take you home."
"Ya but I need to let mama know so she won't worry when don't arrive at home at my usual time."
"Not a problem. I will call her and let her know."
"Mama also said something about a consent form." Well that confirms your previous assumption. His mom is definitely one of those who does not mind the HCA. You chuckle a bit and then tell him,
"Don't worry about that right now. That comes later. For now though," You pull him into a hug, "You and I will get to know each other a lot better." He embraces you in return but before you can say anything more the bell rings and you release him and go to unlock the door. As you do so however you ask him to keep this secret for now and not to tell anyone in the class to protect the both of you. Last thing you want is kids mocking him for being the teacher's boyfriend. He nods and agrees not to tell anyone.
The next 6 hours are pretty standard as you go through all the stuff on your lesson plan. The final bell rings and all the students leave. Well all except little James. Once you two are the only remaining ones in the classroom you pull out your class directory and find his mom's number and let her know James will be coming home late and that you will be the one to drive him there. She asks that you have him home by seven and to be gentle with him.
