While the baroness might make a good mate, you've barely begun to explore your options. It hardly seems worth it to seduce a baby into her and not marry her; angering her and possibly ruining negotiations; when you may be able to afford a more prosperous marital relationship through negotiation. Princess Violet and the throne immediately spring to mind. If you could secure a marriage to Violent with an assurance that she would be made queen over any other offspring, you could see to it that your next chosen would be King . . . a very good position from which to breed your avatar.
The problem remains that Violet is only ten years old. Humans are very protective of their young; and the minimum age for marriage in this kingdom is thirteen years old. Three years is the blink of an eye for a dragon; but broaching the subject in the first place could be . . . problematic.
In the manner of dragons you hardly notice as seven days pass. The messenger from the castle has returned. As you expected the queen has granted you audience at the castle. It is a delicate diplomatic matter and you should plan for it as such. Perhaps you should even bring a peace offering from your horde. The dragon in you rails against giving away a single coin, but your divinity brushes the compulsion aside as easily as shooing a gnat.
How do you approach the meeting?

- Perhaps you should play to the queen's ego?
- A gift of gold should start things off right.
- But if gold is good, a rare magical trinket would be even better.
