“Hey Billy,” you say gently, “I was just going to the police station to talk a little bit more about what happened earlier, do you want to come with me?”
“Mmm...” ‘he’ responds with a pouty look to ‘his’ face.
“It’s Ok,” you tell him. “You can also talk to them about where you want to go. I don’t think they are going to let you live with your dad anymore, but...”
“Can I live with you?” she asks with a hopeful look on her face. Well, that was dropped pretty fast, although you suppose you shouldn’t be surprised with how much you boosted her familial love for you.
“Err… well…” you respond, “that might be difficult, but if that’s what you want I think we can probably talk to them about it.”
“Really?” ‘he’ responds, looking quite happy about your response.
“Yeah, we’ll see if we can convince them to let you live with me,” you wind up saying. “Come on.”
With that, ‘Billy’ quickly puts ‘his’ hoddie back on and rushes in beside you to walk hand in hand, seemingly quite excited about the prospect of getting to live with you when this is all over. What the hell? You shouldn’t go promising anything off the cuff like this. Well, really you didn’t, you said it was all up to the police and that you would have to convince them. Really, even if that one female officer you talked to has a high opinion of you, there is simply no way they are going to agree to let a 15 year old take an 8 year old abuse victim of an arrested father to live with him. However, you are pretty sure you could come up with something with all your mods and such from Loki. Actually… with him controlling the local area, you bet he is the only real person you would have to convince to allow you to officially become ‘Billy’s’ father.
