General information

Dark Elve society as a whole tend to be Matriarchal and is broken down into three different clans. Each clan has a separate view of society and if each other. The clans are:

Clan Veldrin:

Clan Veldrin is the most isolationist of the three clans, shunning all contact with outsiders except for the capture and use if slaves. They live in the deepest parts of the outskirts Underground and only trade with the other two clans.

Clan Veldrin worships a Spider Demon known as The Mother and holds all forms of arachnid in high regards.

Slavery is common in Clan Veldrin, outsiders, males and females criminals make up the extent of the Clans slaves. Creulty to slaves is permitted, however injury that causes a female to become sterile or undue death of a male is considered a waste of stock and can result in the offender becoming a slave.

Relationships in with members of Clan Veldrin tend to be one sided, the women is in charge and the men serve. Love is a concept alien to members of Clan Veldrin. Same sex coupling for pleasure and the raising of young is quite common.

Clan Thane:

Clan Thane is a Matriarchal clans in regards to lineage and leadership. Males in Clan Thane hold the same rights and privileges as females except they are not permitted to hold any leadership role. The heads of all parts of the government, including the Military are female.

Clan Thane is somewhat isolationist, they try and avoid contact with outsiders, but understand that trade is a necessity for survival as well as coexistence with their neighbors. They live in the middle parts of the outskirts Underworld and trade with the other clans and outsiders who share the Underworld with them. Clan Thanes willingness to interact with outsiders does not mean they are nice about it. As a whole they are still a conniving and selfish race willing to harm others for their own gain.

Clan Thane gets along well with female's of Clan Veldrin though they dislike how males are treated by the clan. Clan Oloth is treated as odd and dealt with only when necessary, the fact that males can hold leadership roles and are heads of families is unnerving to Clan Thane.

Slavery is common in Clan Thane, outsiders, prisoners of war and criminals make up the extent of the Clans slaves. Creulty to slaves is permitted, however injury that causes a slave to become sterile or undue death is considered a waste of stock and can result in the offender becoming a slave.

Love though not common is an acceptable reason for a relationship, though even that doesn't guarantee a lifetime commitment. Same sex coupling though not common is acceptable as long as the couple has already produced young.

Clan Oloth is a mixed society nether fully Matriarchal or Patriarchal, though they are Patriarchal in regards to lineage. Males and females hold the same rights and privileges.

Clan Olith is the least isolationist, enjoying frequent contact with outsiders and try their best to coexistence with their neighbors. They live both on the surface and in the upper parts of the outskirts Underworld. Clan Oliths willingness to interact with outsiders does not mean they are always nice about it. As a whole they are still have the races conniving and selfish traits, they simply work hard to suppress them.

Clan Oloth gets along well with all members of the other clans, that are willing to accept them, many outcasts from the other clans as well as excaped males from Clan Veldrin have joined Clan Oloth
