Corrected the part on her filling in as an assistant Tae-kwon-do instructor. Tae-kwon-do is Korean, and Sensei is the Japanese word for teacher. Sahbom is the Korean equivalent to the Japanese Sensei. Jemini (talk) 04:40, 4 March 2020 (CET)

Of all the girls on the list I think she is the scariest, booth extremely book smart and extremely lethal. Telgar (talk) 19:53, 3 March 2020 (PST)

The lethality of Tae-kwon-do depends entirely on how commercialized it is. There are some Korean Sahboms who know some good joint techniques, and Tae-kwon-do's side-kick is the strongest kick in all of martial arts, but overall Tae-kwon-do is actually listed in Korea as a national sport and exercise and not a martial art at all. The only reason those Korean Sahboms have any level of lethality in their method is because they practice Tung-su-do (the martial art that Tae-kwon-do was derived from) and integrate some of it's techniques into the sport.

I probably shouldn't rag on Tae-kwon-do TOO hard though, there are commercialized versions of Karate and Kung-fu as well. Those are kinda sad seeing how they were actually supposed to be competent martial arts, but got completely butchered.

The super lethal martial arts are anything like Jujutsu or other such joint manipulation style. The reason those ones are the more deadly ones is because they are the ones that were designed to fight an opponent who is wearing full armor, which means it would have been taught to Knights or Samurai back in the day since they are the ones who would be actually fighting opponents wearing armor, and the style would have been polished over the years to get to what's really good. Although, it would have to be the original form of those martial arts to be really deadly, Judo is an adaptation from Jujutsu that removes all the deadly techniques and focuses more on how to score in a points tournament. Brazilian Jujitsu (note the I instead of a U on the 4th character) is then a further perfection of Judo's points scoring focused style. And, Aikido is also based off Judo with a focus on not harming the opponent (thus making it ineffective even in competitions)

These styles can all be effective if you are an absolute master Vs. a total novice who doesn't even know how to fight, but anyone trained in a serious fight like UFC or boxing will destroy anyone using Tae-kwon-do, Judo, or Aikido. Jujitsu is good enough in the ring that a lot of UFC fighters actually use it though, so that has it's merits. Krav-Maga (Isralian special forces martial art) or Mic-map (US Marines martial art) will destroy even the UFC fighters though, which is because those dudes have seen the actual battlefield, and that makes you freaking vicious in battle.

(sorry, I'm kinda into martial arts. That comment sorta got me going) Jemini (talk) 20:02, 4 March 2020 (CET)

Not a problem, lol, well compared to most students in town, other than the Witchcraft School, and the MC, she is still lethal. Telgar (talk) 12:16, 4 March 2020 (PST)

Yeah, she ought to have enough power in a side-kick to disable most kids her own age, especially other girls. A 15 year old boy though would probably be able to take her pretty easily if he was determined enough. As for the MC, I could see him lacking in drive enough that he would crumple and give up after taking just 1 kick. He still ought to have enough physical strength to take her, I just don't think he would have the mental strength. Jemini (talk) 22:11, 4 March 2020 (CET)
