The time-scaling is a little off here. Usually, kids get off of school around 3. It would take at most 40 minutes for them to get home. It might take an hour tops to fix the doll, and then 15-30 minutes for their activities before getting in the bath. 30 minutes tops in the bath. That would bring the time to 5:40 after the bath at an absolute maximum time estimate, leaving well and comfortably more than an hour before 7. That's assuming described in this chapter took the longest it possibly could with the clumsiest and least effective ways of going about things. (I get bothered about little things easily.)
