Town of Mazeen

Located just outside the Castle of the royal family, Mazeen is a wide town that has many different spots to visits.

Two patrolling forces keep the town safe: Guards and the Inquisition.

Guards follows the orders of the King, and will respond to any dangers that threatens the townfolks. The Inquisition follows a holy code of conduct that some citizens knows by heart. Those found breaking any of these laws are brought to justice no matter who it is. In general, citizens can request information or help from both forces.

However, there is a internal war going on with the two. Since guards makes for the majority, the Inquisition has little space to do their work properly. The town itself has many areas that outright ignores any of the laws given out.

Historically, the code of conduct was done as a way to diminish birthrates and to set standards for men and women to follow. The use of a greater being is meant to instill a fear for acting otherwise. With time the church began to take itself seriously, forgetting their true origins and becoming figures serving a higher power.

The royal family is exempt of any rules done by the Church. However, the current King has enjoyed the idea of marriage and wed his wife at the church of light. His true position remains neutral as he wishes to see the difference between guards raised under religious ways and those who are not.

There are many locations within the town keeping itself discreet or hidden from the public's eyes including a black market and a slaver's den. You can also find places that aren't just well known from the public.
