Words of Leon resonate within you. He told you to stand back. He told you he would protect you. But can you trust him to succeed alone? You're not sure, but you feel like you must do as he tells you. Besides, you casting a spell on him could distract him in this fast-paced melee which could prove to be fatal.

No, it's not that they're on an equal footing. Leon is definitely stronger, but the robed man is avoiding him. It's almost as if he's buying time. But why?

You realize there are reinforcements on the way, three men in total. Fuck it, you can't stand back anymore. You cast a spell on Leon, who instantly feels a surge of power running through his veins. Timing of the spell is perfect. It comes at an opportune moment when Leon is preparing to strike, and when he realizes what has happened, he runs through his opponent with ease. The enemy wasn't expecting the attack to be so fast. It was twice as fast as a normal attack, way beyond the capabilities of human muscles alone.

Enemy gets a hold of you and tries to subdue you as you struggle. Leon attacks the enemy behind you and manages to cut him down without any need for your spell this time. Two enemies are left, and they appear to be cautious.

"Hanna will assist you, so just attack them", you tell Leon.

"Let's be quick about it. More could be on their way." Then, Leon attacks the men. Two on one, he's immediately backed to the corner. This time around, they are clearly coming for his life. You unleash your arsenal of supporting spells on Leon, and you speak multiple power words, timing all of them perfectly to his movements. It takes him time to get one of them down, which is a good thing, since you're already running dry on mana. While your mana replenishes fast, your reserves are always low by default. As soon as the fourth enemy falls, Leon sheaths his weapons and runs up to you. "You should've told me you can fight, Hanna, or at least helped me earlier."

"Yeah, sorry…" you say, filled with regret. "Hanna knows that it was a close call… It's just that you told Hanna to stand back…"

"It's okay. All's well that ends well." He suddenly falls on his knees in front of you. "Get on my back. We can move faster like this."

You gladly oblige and let yourself carried piggyback. He goes for a run and it's almost like riding a horse. Even with you on his back, he can run faster than you could ever run.

"So, can you use offensive magic as well?"

"No, Hanna can only use alchemy and assist others."

"That should be plenty. I'll be relying on you again if they attack us."

"Yes, use Hanna as you wish!"

"Please don't phrase it like that…"

"Hehehe, you silly boy."
