Innocent Ruin
Hey, I saw your comment on Elerneron's page. Unfortunately, simply copying and pasting stuff from a text editor to here rarely works. Like you noticed, Mediawiki doesn't recognize tabs, and spacing in front of paragraphs tends to mess things up, for example. With CSS, you have a lot of control over how your page looks, so it might be worth looking into if you want all your future pages to look the same. For a simple bandaid solution, you could also use the {{tab}} template, which works exactly like a tab in text editors. <br> can be used for line breaks between paragraphs, but pressing enter twice (or even thrice) also works, resulting in slightly wider spacing.
