Having trouble wrapping this up, all of the important stuff is there though, now I just need to come up with something to transition out of here. It just went a bit too long for me and my brain got too tired to think up an ending. With such extreme measures, I fear some parents decide to simple remove their girls from the school. And that probably would be well received by the religious leaders, saying school is not a place for women anyway. I think we should have an option for John actually refusing this escalation, even if he's overruled, he'll probably feel better with himself after saying so. | |||
Also, John only left town 10 years ago, the Deacon and the headmaster were already quite powerful then.
