Well if this isn't a fine example of spontaneous writing, I don't know what is. I had actually planned initially for John to drag her all the way back to class himself. Then, she started fighting too hard so I decided he needed help from Ms. Varano. Then, when Ms. Varano entered, it suddenly occurred to me that if she's fighting this hard then he very well might wind up upping her punishment, but he would have to talk to her first so now instead of the two of them jumping on top of her and dragging her back to class we now have John trying to negotiate with her with harsher punishments being the result of noncompliance. None of that was planned, it just developed like that as the scene went on. Anyway, I need to take a break to think of how the conversation is going to go now.
