"Of course, the offer is open to you as well Diya. Do you still also want to marry me?" A smile instantly blossoms on the 12 year old's face.

"Sure!" She says enthusiastically.

"Alright then, I will give both of you an excuse to get back to class for the day, and I will make some phone calls to your parents and to the deacon. I would normally like to wait and plan something like a wedding, but considering the circumstances we will probably need to have it right after school. Of course, that only goes for Mary. We could probably wait on yours a little while if you want to have a more formal wedding Diya."

"No! I want to be married together with.. umm... Mary." She says, tripping over the oddity of her friend's name together with the word "marry." "Besides! Wasn't this supposed to be for our punishment? It might not work if you don't marry both of us at the same time."

"Well, I guess that's true. Well then, I will write up your excuse notes. These are different from punishment notes since you brought this up yourselves, so it only really needs to be shown to your teacher. It will actually make it so that you are not in trouble at all for the class you have missed so far."

"Umm.." Mary suddenly speaks up. "Please don't tell my mother about the lesbian thing. She's going to tell everybody if you say anything about that."

Well, people would probably figure it out eventually, but then again if you allow it to remain under-wraps for as long as possible then the town opinion will likely soften a little on them as it serves as an explanation for how a child marriage happened. That way you will take most of the initial slings and arrows and by the time it's figured out it will no longer be seen as all that serious. Besides, this would hardly be the first time a child marriage happened in this town, and from what you have heard a forced marriage would probably be the standard way this town would deal with a case of homosexuality anyway. In fact, this never even needs to go down as a punishment since the girls came to you proactively seeking help.

"Ok, I will manage things so that we can put off the word about your claim to homosexuality getting out. Wouldn't want you girls getting teased too mercilessly."

Your two brides to be smiled at one another in relief as you set to work writing up their excuse.

Please excuse Diya Styles and Mary Franklin for their tardiness in arriving to class. Both students have brought a serious matter before the director of disciplinary actions that was urgent in nature. The two students have been asked to appear in the office of disciplinary actions again at the end of the school day for a follow up on this matter, and to proceed with their school day as normal until that time.

This excuse is effective until 8:30, and will be void after that time should the students in question arrive any later than that.

"Ok, you can receive your note from Mrs. Varano. Head back to class and treat this like a normal school day, I'll handle the rest."

With that, the two happy girls bounced out of your room.

That's all for that incident.
