With such extreme measures, I fear some parents decide to simple remove their girls from the school. And that probably would be well received by the religious leaders, saying school is not a place for women anyway. I think we should have an option for John actually refusing this escalation, even if he's overruled, he'll probably feel better with himself after saying so. | |||
Also, John only left town 10 years ago, the Deacon and the headmaster were already quite powerful then. I put it under "protest" but it might fall under "agree with compromise": Such behavior should warrant the highest "severe" punishment for the first offense, and extreme after that. Might also want to increase the time to a half hour or more, as it would be unlikely they would throw off their clothing the second an adult was out of sight.
