If the mother has been turned into a 4 yo, will she have her memories? Will she know that's her daughter, despite currently being half the girl's age? If the system resets her mentally to what she was at 4, then she won't be coming back. The cannon Elerneron set up about changing in this manner is that memories will be altered to believe the altered state is the way it's always been, but it does not change any events that have happened. I interpret this to mean that memories can be altered but not erased, thus they will remember that she's the mother, and she will also remember giving birth to her daughter despite being half her age. Also, another thing in the cannon from Elerneron is that all lifies will accept anything resulting from an alteration from the hack as being perfectly normal, thus when it comes out that the 4 year old is the 7-9 year old's mother, everybody will react as though that's no big deal at all and every single bit as normal as her being a mother at her previous unaltered age.
That said, it has also been established by the way I have written it so far that altering their age also alters their mentality to a point that young Xander is noticeably less mentally competent, particularly in the planning/predicting and the control of emotion and impulsivity departments, despite their maxed out stats than teen Xander and the 10 year old Xanders of either gender screw things up a lot as they try to manipulate situations in the way teen Xander would. I imagine the effect would be considerably more pronounced with someone who's stats are not locked to max and who's age was reduced a lot farther. Jemini (talk) 06:13, 21 December 2018 (CET)
