In the morning, you wake up to find Lily has already gotten dressed and is cleaning her teeth. | |||
“Wake up sleepy-head,” she says smiling at you, “you’d better rush if you want a shower, hurry up or we’ll miss breakfast.” | |||
You sit up, rubbing your eyes and stretching. Yawning, you get out of bed and head for the door, bleary eyed and half-asleep still. | |||
Lily just stares at you, standing there naked with your hair all messed up. She giggles and throws you your black silk bathrobe. You smile and blow her a kiss before heading to the shower. | |||
Standing under the steaming hot water, you slowly wake up properly. Did you and Lily really have sex last night? You did, you realise to yourself, and it was amazing. | |||
There’s another thing. The monster. He seems to be gone. He was with you yesterday, but he was bored of magic lessons and “little girls” as he thinks of you, and crawled away to sleep. That and hiding whenever Harry was nearby. Then, after you ran around in the rainstorm with Lily, he didn’t come back. You and Lily spent an incredible few hours together, chasing, and kissing and making love to each other, and the Monster wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Until yesterday, you thought he might always be there, only giving you tiny snatches of freedom when he got bored or needed to rest, but then you got most of a day without him. | |||
Perhaps you can learn to live with him somehow? Maybe he won’t do all the horrible things he plots and schemes about? Maybe, if you can make friends with Hermione, he won’t decide to kill her? In the morning, you wake up to find Lily has already gotten dressed and is cleaning her teeth.
“Wake up sleepy-head,” she says smiling at you, “you’d better rush if you want a shower, hurry up or we’ll miss breakfast.”
You sit up, rubbing your eyes and stretching. Yawning, you get out of bed and head for the door, bleary eyed and half-asleep still.
Lily just stares at you, standing there naked with your hair all messed up. She giggles and throws you your black silk bathrobe. You smile and blow her a kiss before heading to the shower.
Standing under the steaming hot water, you slowly wake up properly. Did you and Lily really have sex last night? You did, you realise to yourself, and it was amazing.
There’s another thing. The monster. He seems to be gone. He was with you yesterday, but he was bored of magic lessons and “little girls” as he thinks of you, and crawled away to sleep. That and hiding whenever Harry was nearby. Then, after you ran around in the rainstorm with Lily, he didn’t come back. Marcus looks over, then realising it’s you, and scowls a little before returning to his conversation. Seeing Marcus makes you remember the things you did while the monster was awake. You feel a pang of guilt, but also a tingle of illicit excitement.
